Chocolate Peanut Butter Dip

I don’t know if it’s because I’m a nursing mom or what, but I cannot go to bed at night without a snack. If I don’t eat before bed, I will literally wake up at 3 am ravenous and annoyed. But sometimes it’s just so hard to think of something to eat at night. And, by that time of day the dishes are already finished and the kitchen is clean so the last thing I want to do is pull out a lot of food to make some extravagant snack..

Apple slices with peanut butter used to be a go-to snack for me. But since beginning my journey with Trim Healthy Mama (You can read about why I love THM here!), that was no longer an option because the apple is a carb and peanut butter contains fat, so that would put me into crossover territory. I felt lost without my apple/peanut butter staple, until I found something that is even better and totally Trim Healthy Mama approved! This chocolate peanut butter dip with apple slices is now my go-to evening snack. If you are following Trim Healthy Mama, this snack is a E because the apple has carbs. But the chocolate peanut butter dip alone is considered a Fuel Pull (meaning it is low in both carbs and fat), so you can pair it with anything! Or just eat it with a spoon…it’s that good!

It takes about two minutes to whip up and it thickens some while you cut up your apple. Yum.
